Our History

It all started basically with three motorcyclist friends wishing to unite our sport to the pleasure of doing something useful.
In a beautiful sunny afternoon of 2004 Summer, Everton (Manga), Donato Silva and Flavio Domingues (Doido) had the idea of promoting a philanthropic activity towards the Ironbound Ambulance Square.
Based on the support of a few more riders, the three pioneers instituted and formed a bike club, the Indian Knights MC. The name was suggested by Donato, who would later be named as vice president of the club.
Then, they chose a name for the event: 1st. Ambulance & Indian Knights MC Run, with a date set for June 20, 2004.
During the process of organizing the 1st. Ambulance Run, the embryonic IKMC already sketched a great potential for sympathy and power of realization, involving many friends and colleagues, many of those would later join the club once for all.
With the success of the club and community support, other ideas came on and more members were added to the group.
At that period of time, the Indian Knights MC became legalized as an institution, been formed the first board directors, the appropriate documentation recorded and our first By-Laws being disclosed.
With participation of other club’s promotions and charities in the region, IKMC started been known and well accepted in the middle.
Although the club had many members and sympathizers, it was for a long period most keenly-based only supporting and conducting philanthropic events in the region.
Only in mid-2006 the club pondered the need to open a place where it could offer social activities, been more suitable as a club.
There were only a few months of success until the IKMC had to close its club house, shortening this chapter.
The closing of the doors served as a positive lesson for the IKMC to acquire a more concrete status as a club. The board and members became a sober and solid block, still with dreams, but reality in mind.
Today the Indian Knights MC is well-known and respected, and his name and achievements already exceeded international borders.
